This is the perfect fitness center that I've found in the DMV. In the words of the owner: "Life Time Gaithersburg is more than a gym, it's an athletic country club. Life Time has something for everyone: an expansive fitness floor, unlimited studio classes, basketball courts, eucalyptus steam rooms, and indoor and outdoor pools. Receive unlimited group training and individualized attention when you choose a Signature Membership." It's so true! People are phenomenal, equipment is top of the line, and hours are unparalleled (4am - 12 am!). Come check it out; you won't be disappointed.

Having visited and tried other (and cheaper) gyms in the Germantown-Gaithersburg area, this place stands out as the only consistently clean and inviting facility that respects your senses and offers you the space to do your own thing, join group classes, or work out with one of their amazing coaches. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. If you can afford their $189/month rate, then absolutely join this gym. Oh and that indoor pool is awesome. Some of the negative reviewers below seem to have a beef with someone, or could have visited a different gym in a parallel universe. My experience is consistently awesome and rewarding.

It's a nice gym! I always enjoy my time at lifetime. Equipment is clean. Staff is nice. And it has great hours. What more can you ask for? I can't attest to the quality of the other services, I never used the salon or spa, but the gym itself was wonderful. Just a little pricey for me. It's worth it though

Great Place - Premium Prices and Services This is not your average gym. This is not a place with weights and no towels with rock bottom prices. Those are around if you look and not far away. But if you are looking for lots of equipment from free weights, every imaginable strength machine, kettlebells, to a very large cardio area and indoor and outdoor swimming pools, boxing area, and an incredible amount of group classes - this is the place. I'm a mostly basic guy. I am doing an app (Arnold's Pump Club) and using machines, TRX, and lots of free weights. I also do some additional core exercises that trainer Nico taught me. There are a good number of trainers here, in addition to the classes. There also is a sauna, spa, and a place to have food, shakes and coffee. My sister loves the shakes. Oh, also a boxing area. The classes look like an amazing assortment with much variety. I look forward to trying them. Bit at the moment my program and cardio supplementation keeps me as busy as I can be. Everyone is friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the floor. And there are small towels for the floor, disinfectant wipes, and large towels in the locker room. I've only been a member for 2 months so I still have a lot to learn. Before coming here I was a member of Equinox in DC for several years. And before that a number of smaller clubs, some of which I used as a base for running while at work. This is on a level with equinox in regard to equipment and space. I'd rate the number of classes and variety of strength equipment as better than equinox when I was last there just before the pandemic hit. The lockers are similar. So read the instructions, practice, and be careful and you will never get locked out. I was locked out accidentally at equinox several years ago. I know how it happened...so I'm careful when locking it up :-) I almost forgot to mention - there are facilities for people of almost every age. There are classes and activities for young people (essentially fancy day care). And people from teens to 80s are working out. This makes for a great environment. In summary, if your budget can handle it, this is a great place. They have been apparently changing their business model to more amenities, somewhat higher prices. And according to recent business reviews, they've taken in a lot of revenue, but spent much of it on amenities. And the pricing is comparable to clubs that operate at this level. If you join, make sure you take advantage of all they have to offer.
